External Talks & Sessions is a newly started series of events by SOFTA. As a part of these sessions, top notch Industry persons and distinguished alumni of SOFTA are invited as guests to share their insights. The sessions are based upon varied topics of student interests like higher education, corporate career, startups & entrepreneurship, competitive exams, etc.

Along with this, the final year student members of the club also arrange some Placement guidance & experience sharing sessions. Under these sessions, the final year students not only share their personal placement journey but also show a pathway to their fellow SOFTAites of how to strategize the preparation and work towards one’s goal.

This novel venture of the club is getting a huge and active response. These sessions have been a golden opportunity for all the SOFTAites to interact with the experienced professionals, alumni and senior SOFTAites. The club will continue with such talks so as to direct and upskill students as per global requirement.

Following timeline indicates the different guest sessions took place till now-

• September 27, 2020 - A guidance session about ‘MBA and Career’ by Ms. Nidhi Shah ,WCE alumnus, a Former SOFTAite and an MBA student from IIFT DELHI.

January 15, 2021 - An inspiring session with the topic ‘Chains which set us free’ by Dr. Ketan P. Gadre , a professional cyclist, fitness enthusiast and a MD Pediatrician.

March 13, 2021 - A guidance session on ‘Making startup a successful business’ by Mr. Pradip Marathe , Founder of Cottonking and alumnus of WCE.

April 13, 2021 - A guidance session about ‘Career Opportunities in Aerospace Engineering’ by Ms. Sneha Deshpande , Spacecraft Controller (Inmarsat) and alumnus of WCE.
